Is it over yet???

I am so upset... I usually just love Christmas!!! But I've just been so crazy busy w/ work, dogs, tree hell, etc that I haven't had a second to sit and enjoy the season, and here it is almost over...
There is always somewhere to go, have to go here before I can sit and relax for a bit, and here it is the 21st, and I don't even have my gingerbread house kit yet.... I'm so sad... I wanted to put one together more than anything, and I just don't know if I am going to have the time to do it... ohhh back to the days of elementary school that we actually got to do them as a project w/ our mommies..... Mom, where are you... I need you... Your baby girl is not feeling so cheery...
I did hit the big WM this morning looking for a kit thingie and couldn't find one, so now I don't know where to go.
And don't get me started on work... Be nice to your telephone bankers folks, it's not personally our faults that the visa check card system is slow, or is not recognizing your card number... I do realize this is frustrating... But we personally are not to blame, and starting out the conversation w/ "you people" is not going to get things off on the right foot!!! FYI
The upside is, is that for all of this running around I have been doing non-stop for the last couple of days is starting to pay off a little, I do have a smaller jump start on Christmas than last year, so not as much to do on Friday and Saturday!!! Just keeping our fingers crossed that the Stevers package arrives on time!! We shall see!!
Ok enough venting, I am off for my first night of Christmas cheer!! I love Tim and Debbie and tonight we get to go to their house for our first round of Christmas and I am very excited!! So maybe my Christmas season starts now (well in 35 minutes anyway)

I am in Christmas tree hell!!!!!!

Ok so my last post talked on and on about how I love my Christmas tree, and lets see what kind of fun red, white and green lights I can get at the Walmart....
no
not happening...
So we went to Walmart, and apparently they don't make all three colors anymore, but I did find awesome red/green all in one bulb light kinda thingies and those are super cool!! So I bought some of those, came home and of course had to re-do the tree...
Well that was all fun and great until Tues. Night... Well than...
The girls (Belle and Lucy) have realized that they actually think we brought in this big shrub for them and they have decided that they like rubbing their itchy backs on our tree... We did good for the first couple of days catching them and saying cute words like "no" and "stop that" Well Thursday morning as we we're getting ready for work... Sigh.... One of the two; not pointing fingers, but Lucy's ears we're flaring something awful... (she does that when she's in trouble)
succeeded in knocking over our tree...
And in the process broke Steve's 45.00 Danbury mint collectible Seahawks ornament.... grrr.
So I spent 2 and 1/2 hrs putting it all back together and cleaning up.... Sucked...
So we came up w/ a fun idea.. The first day and night we had all of our TV trays lined up around it as a gate... Looked so stupid... I thought.. "Hey let's bring out our Christmas storage boxes, wrap them in Christmas paper and it will look like big presents under the tree... So that is working thank heavens... What drama...
And I still don't have my gingerbread house kit yet...

Loving eBay.... Dammit

Well for how many years now have I not wanted to succumb to the eBay world... But noooooooo now I love it!! I love it because I am a very spontaneous person and I can just be sitting here watching TV w/ the Stever and think...hmmm I would love that! And there I go (with Nikki's help of course).... Truly sad... I love eBay, but I'm so scared of it I need my hand held all through the process... Sigh... Someday I will grow up! Of course I've only bought 2 things... And the one I bought as a Christmas present for my Steve and we will see if I get it on time.. I think it's coming from overseas.. (right nik?).. See I have no idea what I'm talking about.... oh well...
It's been a pretty ok week or two... Been totally in love with the new baby Camryn, and love to get my baby fix every day... She's so damn cute, I can't help myself!!

We got our tree up on Saturday/Sunday and realized that we forgot last year while Steve was cutting off drooping branches on the bottom he cut through our bottom strand of lights... So now I'm on a quest for new lights... Problem is, our lights our red, white, and green... so temporarily we have the r,w,g lights on top 1/2 of tree and white ones on the bottom and like 3 ornaments so it's kinda funny.... but I went to Kmart today where we originally got them 2 yrs ago and they have no lights left for trees except only white ones or multi, and I don't want lights that have orange, blue and pink in them. So Tara suggested we try Walmart (gulp). We are going to go tonight while the husbands watch Monday night football.... It's so fun having friends as neighbors!!! I am nervous about going to WM at 6pm in the evening, but I want my tree done. I usually hit WM at 645 in the morning and it ROCKS!!!! I drop Steve off at 630 for work, than I don't have to be to work until 730 so I get to hit WM and get usual WM staples and I'm in and out in 15 Min. I only have to fight w/ big huge pallets of stuff, but it's worth it!!!

I'm having so much fun w/ Christmas and decorating this year that I am.... HOLD YOUR BREATH FOLKS....

Wanting to make a ginger bread house!!! I know scary!! but I hear that they now have kits to make it easier so it may not be so bad!! My cookies we're a success so now I will try this!! We shall see!!!
Alrighty not much else to report, except a big happy BDAY shout out to Jenette!! It's fun to be 30....

Ultimate hen party!!!

Ok, so now I guess I have to surrender and realize that I am in fact an adult and am going to my own functions w/o my mom....
This is year two of a non-work related Holiday function w/o parents!!! My cousin Adam has this most amazing wife Catherine who is so super creative and fun, that last year she came up w/ this idea of a family gathering/cookie exchange!! But the catch is that it's for us cousin's!! So mom, and my aunts are not invited (that sound worse and kinda more rude than it is!!)
It's for us cousins that are now adults and on our own!! (but still the kids-got me?)
So basically we make 6 dozen cookies (please don't laugh I try really hard) that have to be Christmas themed, or looking, not store bought actually made... and there is usually 6 of us there so we each get to bring home a dozen of 6 different kind of Christmas cookies!! So it's really fun!!!
Well Catherine is so great she has games, cocktails, beautiful tree and her fun fun kitties roam around (hugs to kitties Daniel, and Greta) and a fire! It's just so warm cozy and fun!! It just cracks me up though about my sisters and myself, we are so comfortable w/ eachother that you put us in any situation and we can talk, laugh, share stories, and just have a good time no matter where we go, it's great! However we can become so chatty and giggly that we don't realize that this party was scheduled to go from 2-4 that we didn't leave until 6pm... oops!!! I can say kudos to Catherine, Jo, Catherines friend, my sisters and I though!! How great is it to have family not just family but friends too, that you enjoy just hanging out and gabbing w/ that you run 2 hrs later than planned!!! I just love my family it was so fun and great and I can't wait until next year!! (that is of course if we didn't make to big of chatty kathy's of ourselves) LOL. Getting to know my cousin's on a personal level, not just a couple times of year gathering means so much that we/they are turning out to be such great "adults" that I actually am so excited to see them whenever I can just makes me realize I am a lucky girl!!!
We did decide that maybe in the future we should bring the husbands so that Adam doesn't have to sit downstairs alone while us women have the "ultimate hen party".....
Other than that.... There is a new tiny little baby in our midst... Shane and Tara welcomed 5lb 13oz little Camryn into the world, and I am not kidding when I say how beautiful she is... She's amazing!!! I can't wait for her to come home!! So congrats Shane and Tara you brought a beautiful new addition into the world!!!
AND ONTO EBAY!!!
I did it!!! I bid on my very first eBay auction and I won it!! Can't say what it is because it's a Christmas present, but I should get it any day now to complete the process!!! will give a full report when I receive it!!!
